Here's my 1984 Honda Ascot Vt500Ft that I got barn fresh for $500. A good washing, a battery and a carb cleaning and she was good to go. Added an a windshield I had laying around and it makes a nice crummy weather bike. Now I have to decide whether to put a new set of street tires on it or go with something like a Gripster or Distanzia.

Pacific Toast?
http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/n...405923778.htmlThis just happened this afternoon, so I don't know if this is a victorious deal or a pathetic waste of money, yet. I don't know if CL links go away, so it is a 1990 Honda Pacific Coast with 40k miles, titled, but last registered in 2006, for $500. I will add my own pics, soon, and will be posting a lot to seek advice on bringing this puppy back.

My first bike and a hell of a deal too! Of course, it didn't run because it sat in a garage for a couple of years. It was some guy's sister's bike that looked like she dropped one time. Very, very minor scratches.
$850 with 1889 miles. Bought it July of this year and now it has a bit over 4400 miles! ![]() Of course, the luggage on there now was after I bought the bike. |

Without starting a new thread, I wander how many of these supercheap bikes would be good for a guy with a bad back. I just had two discs removed and don't feel like leaning over the tank all the time, but can't stand traditional cruiser/choppers.
