I guess mine would fit in here. I got an 81 SR500 for $1,500. It didn't have spark, but only had 2,037 miles on it. I'll have a whole lot more than $1,500 in it by the time I'm done though.

Some really cool bikes/deals in this thread. However, I'm always a bit suspicious when I hear about 30-40 years old bikes with only few K miles on them. Guys, you're aware that on a 5-digit odometer mileage jumps from 99,999 back to zero, right?

It's not that tough to tell by condition, and it is WAY more likely that a bike has gone less than 10k miles than it has more than 100k.

A 30-40 yr old bike that's gone over 100k would look like it.

I was suspicious of mine being 30 years old and only having 2k miles on it. Those suspicions went away as soon as I took the engine apart.
