Nice Yammy! I like the rack -- I want one for my XL185S.

And ready-to-ride, in that condition for $500 -- you STOLE it!

That is definitely a great deal and the bike looks to be in great shape!! Do yourself a favor and install new oil lines to the top end. go to the sabmag website and look into the V4 oil mod kit. The V65's were bad about wasting the cams due to lack of oil to the top end. Thats why most of them ended up in the salvage yards. Other than that the are great bikes. I have a V45 Sabre with 105K miles on it.

Here are some of the pieces. PO tore bike down for a new clutch and frame paint. Then he got the itch for a new TIGER.

Here's my cheap bike find for $1200.

It's a 2006 DRZ400S with 5100 miles that needed a battery, carb cleaning and a good overall scrubbing. The chain is a little ugly too but I'm not sure I'm going to replace it yet. It even came with a spare set of tires.

Mega SCORE!

Bought this old Gixxer for $1,000 last year. Needed a good carb cleaning but other than that ran decently.

Course, it's been sitting in storage for about fifteen months now... so she may need attention again.

I totally understand the sentiment and that's why I hopped on this deal!

What's crazy is it was a friend of a friend's at work and a lot of other people had got offered it first but none of them wanted to go look at it in November. I bet one of them will offer me $3k for it in the spring when I'm done cleaning it.

The guy originally wanted $1500 and it had been sitting for 3 years in a barn with mud and calcite on it. The battery was deader than dead and the carb was dumping gas. I offered him $1200 for a non-running bike and told him he could think about it. He said he didn't want to think about it and helped load it in my truck with all of the parts and extra's. It even came with a milk crate tie-wrapped to the rear rack.

I drained the old gas and paid the local bike shop $130 to clean and adjust the carb. They said it was a mess and had to let it soak in the ultra-sonic cleaner for a few hours. It runs like a champ now and I didn't even get my hands dirty.

After the initial wash I treated the calcite and rust with some vinegar and got most of it off. I'll hit a couple spots with phosphoric before spring, flush all of the fluids and it should be ready to go. Overall it's in great shape.

Picked up an 83 GW interstate for 1500. 55k miles, Only thing is the radio doesn't work, but I'm cool with that. The tires are brand new.
