can't blame you, I hate camping around a bunch of people in a public campground. Give me a privet primitive camp spot any day.
There's always that yapping dog that barks all night or the rude people that
are up till all hours of the morning getting drunk and being load and obnoxious. No I don't need a paved parking spot and Porte potty's. That place looks horrible. I would have rode right on through and kept going.

Speaking of stealth camping, I was quoted $20 + tax a night at Davy's place.

So I camped over the road down by the river for nix. I think ol' Davy would like that.

I am finding it harder and harder not to hate people in general. almost every time we camp in a crowded state/national park CG I get ticked at rude loud drunks.

+1.
I also find the more popular public parks are the ones that stink the most, and have the most litter too.

One in particular I remember - the bins were overflowing with used baby nappies and flies were everywhere.

I didn't stop, I kept on going to the next little road that disappeared up around a corner...

Yep, very interesting group of islands. Great scenery and I especially liked the Viking historic sites.

There are heaps of lovely spots, over a bank, or behind some bushes, or behind a country church, or .........
This spot is just south of Fort William Scotland. I didn't see that No Camping sign until next morning, honest.

This spot is next to Hwy 1, north of Los Angeles. Lovely ocean view, and out of sight of the hwy.

This is a quiet spot.

I'm in safe hands here.

Very cool TassieMark.
Goes to show that there's always someplace to hold up for the night.
