I am sort of a WWII amateur historian specializing in military equipment. Mainly German as my father's side of the family came from Bavaria in the 1890's. In fact my screen name, Royal Tiger, is the Allies name for the Panzkerkampfwagen VI Ausf. B Konigstiger, or King Tiger. The first 50 had turrets built by Porsche, the rest used a Henschel turret. My main focus is armor and aircraft, but the Naval banners have always held an appeal to me. The one I use as an avatar is a Kreigsmarine flag from the 1920's. There was a more formal version where the flag I used moved to the upper left field:

Very cool. I'm kind of into flags. I knew that had been used for a few purposes. I inherited a lot of the different US and Swedish flags from my grandfather when he passed.
