Awesome! I'd like nothing better than to see the AMA EnduroCross series break big with trials guys like Colton leading the way. The other riders in the series better be training as hard.

Yes. My point was that I want the series to reach the masses like SX does.

The finale was pretty packed. The fact that it runs during what for most of us is riding season I think sort of rules that out. Would you rather ride or watch?
Maybe if it ran concurrent with the SX series it would baloon in popularity.

Important point. SX is successful at least in part because of cabin fever. But I'd argue that most SX fans rarely ride; they like the spectacle. Can EX match the spectacle of 90' triples? I don't think so. It is more of a riders' show. But with proper promotion, I believe it can go much bigger.

I was watching some vid where a freestyle BMX god--think it was Dave Mirra--expressed concern that the X-Games were being taken over by motorized sports. I don't agree, but I would like to see a motorized version that included trials ("MotoTrials") and EnduroCross.

I must say that the "trialscross" part was amazing! Seeing the Smage kid finish the backside of the course on the rear wheel was just too much! They may not be as fast as the XC bikes out there but the finesse they show is just incredible. To watch him (Smage) hop from log to log thru the matrix, well, words don't do him justice.
This is a relatively new sport, so who knows how it will grow?
