Is it possible to get one of these with 1/2 a zipper (on the inside towards the top) and the other 1/2 on the inside of the panier liner?
I think it would be nice to have these inside the bag. Then just flip it over & the tools would be on the outside of the paniers (prolly need a few velcro pieces on a flap so tools don't roll out).
It might be better if the zipper ran the same way as the wrenches so you wouldn't have to take stuff out of the bags to get a 6 inch wrench the long way thru the opening.

Thanks again!

I shot you a pm with my #. If you're interested in building some for me like that give me a call and I'll get you the sizes.

Could you make bags for Givi crash bars for a v-strom 650?

Velcro is standard. I only do the buckle if someone requests it. The pictures of the tool rolls in the second post on the thread were a custom job. Let me know what you would like!

I'll draw it up, scan it and send it to your email address. I would like this cover of the same color and material as the Messenger bag, shown on the first page.

Can you also put brass (or non-rusting) grommets in the cover?

I do not want to hijack your thread, but what sewing machine do you use when work with those fabrics?

It took me forever and I blew-up my machine making bags for our hepco aluminum saddle bags.

BTW your work is great!

Thanks,

I did the same thing with my wife's sewing machine, so I decided it was in my best interest to invest in a machine all my own! My main work horse is a 60's vintage Singer 111w155 industrial walking foot machine. I swapped out the clutch motor with a DC servo motor and the control is 100 x better.

I also have a Singer HD110C that I use occasionally for different stitches other than a straight stitch. It's new and has worked very well for me.

Thanks for the compliment!

I am glad I wasn't the first person to destroy a sewing machine in honor of motorcycling.

Your work horse looks amazing, but I live in the bay area so I don't see it moving into our house even if it were free!

I will check out the Singer HD110C and see if that may work.

Thanks for the information and you are very welcome!!
