The top one is the bevel drive OHC motor and the lower one is the compressor, a 500cc supercharged engine that was outlawed after WWII (as were all superchargers) - both are exceptionally rare.

thanks to all who posted on this thread. i was looking at dirt bike stuff and started to surf. what a gem i found. new to site not sure if i can add a link however here it is. i heard (on this site) that the 250 gp class was done this year so i did a search on kel carruthers and found this. thanks again everyone. by the way any one have pics from so cal racing scene in the 80's riverside and willow springs.http://www.pejer.com/Photos4.htm

What are you running on yours?
I was going for cheap and easy to ride.
Second year on them and they need some repair (welds cracking)so it might be a good time to look around.

I ride mine on the street and use some old school Bassani's.
For the track I'd try and find some Factory Pipe Product (FPP) or just call Gary over at Spec II. He's an "unusual" fellow who can be "moody" but he knows his stuff and sells great pipes.
