Yep...OEM. Does a great job. I know some guys add a lip up top...haven't tried it.

It's 3 way adjustable.

I could not control myself and have to make it a classic!

The outfit has a retro feeling to it!

those memories will be with you forever and that's the way that shot may look when you tell your grand kids about it.

Shick: I just finished watching all your pics on slideshow. Epic trip.
I would love to ride southern Cali and visit The rock store and Neptunes Net. Las Vegas and the Nevada desert looked like fun. All that great riding and why would you want to return the Jersey.
Hope to see you at a Sunday breakfast soon .

So I won't start another thread since I'm not that important, but I'l probably post this in the Layton Thread as well...

I'll be departing Texas for NJ on May 31st, with an anticipated arrival in NJ on Sunday, June 3.

I'm not a genius, but I'm pretty sure that's the first Sunday of the month. I wouldn't be there for breakfast, but if y'all (shit...Texas) want to ride out somewhere and meet up, it would be fun to roll back home with you guys!

Just throwing it out there.

Anybody know if the XR650R is on the NJ big no-no list for getting plated and titled. There is one in the FM with a New Mexico plate/title.

Is there a way to just transfer this over or is this bike on the big list of you cant never not get no titles in dis here state pal

Not like they are going to inspect it

I believe a non resident can register a vehicle in New Mexico.
If you want to fly me out to there, I can register it for you and ride it back!

I can do a ride report upon my return!

I am even willing to test the acceleration and suspension, before leaving NM!

That's Shawn. Give oh give

If anyone is interested, a friend of mine from Texas, Tman66 here on ADV, has his wife Susan and 13 year old daughter Amanda flying into NY so Mandy can have an operation for Chiari syndrome (so just Mom and Mandy)

Chiari...from Tman:
Quote:

Her brain is coming out of the hole where the spinal cord is and when you move your neck, it pulls on the brain/cord.
It's a god damned nightmare of a disorder. I can't promise what the tours would be like, or what other challenges may pop up during a day out. So, I'd say I need you, but realize the things that could happen. Also they're from way out of town, not comfortable with having to stay in Queens where the institute is (Ron McD house for a portion of the time)...travel is going to be scary to them if they have to do it on their own.

I'm helping them with some of the logistics and also some touring of the area during their down time. If anyone is available to come along, or fill in some of the gaps in the schedule (still the Airport pickup on 5/2, and open day on Saturday 5/5 and Airport drop on 5/23 are open...also a few open days on 5/21 and 22 but those are weekdays and anyone who'd be willing to visit during the hospital stay of 5/8 to 5/13)...would be awesome if if you even considered it or stopped by to say hello.

This is one of those things where I think we show what our community is really made of.

Looks like TengaiJohn and/or Flug will take them out on Friday the 4th and I'm going to pick them up and take them to the Statue of Liberty on Sunday the 6th.

Again, still need to get them picked up from the Airport on 2 May, Sat 5 May is open...and I'd love to see who might be able to visit them in the hospital, if only to give Susan (Mandy's mom) a visit during the 8-13 May operation and recovery period.

Think about it.

PS/Edit: I'm driving them to West Virginia on 5/13. They'll stay there until 5/20 recovering and waiting for the 5/21 follow up visit at the Institute in Queens then fly back to TX on 5/23
