I looked at the LX150 and even though I like the looks and the proportions of that scooter better than the GTS300 and the GT250, I decided against it because of the hills. The LX150 could certainly get up them, but it had to work at it a bit. And even more so two up.

Plus the 300 is just plain fun to ride in a hooligan-like manner. It is a pretty naughty scooter.
Thanks, sounds like we need to get in two test rides this weekend...

Well...they are very different. Both extraordinarily fun in their own way.

The thing I love about the GTS300 is that the expectation isn't as high as it would be for some hot motorcycle, so when you actually do a bit of naughtiness on it the surprise factor is that much greater. I love tweaking guys on big, loud Harleys at stop lights.

I don't have the fastest scooter out there, a Kymco People 250, and I can stand to loose a pound, or two... or you get the point... but i am very often surprising the sport bike boy and harley riders with my ability to keep up with them as they burn their way thru the gears and I just twist and scoot and there I am. Right next to them at the next light.

Sweet. Hope I wasn't a bad influence.

What color? I was a bit frustrated by the limited choices (white, black, red). Ended up going with the black cause I thought it looked a bit more "badass". I also liked the contrast between the black and the red highlight in the front spring.

Black, red or white.. those are the only options. Piaggio is offering an extra 2 years on the warranty if purchased by tomorrow...

I was going to get a white one, but right now I'm thinking of waiting. I have too many bikes and due to family obligations, I'm not riding as much as I'd like and as as much as I used to.. I think I will keep one big touring bike and get a Vespa for around town.

I've already bought 2 bikes this year.. and I can't believe I'm going to restrain myself from buying a third.

Time to thin out the heard..

On another note, I'm surprised they are not offering ABS as an option on the higher end Vespas. I think the GTS250 has available ABS in Europe.

Hey GB... that's 'cause you're living the Toronto life man. I moved out here to the Jamaica of the north 4 years ago. Trust me... there's way more than an hour's difference between our clocks. Oh yeah and never ending amounts of twisty pavement with an ocean view. Let me know when I'm buying you a local barley pop and the best Lobster roll on the planet.
