I liked that Series 3 Game at the start. It looked pretty good.

Example below

I was in town today and saw a new Defender.

They look pretty good.

Installed some Bilsteins on the rear of my D2a this evening, easy enough, 1.5 hrs, nice and steady, no rushing. Fronts tomorrow afternoon.
(Front Shocks on next post)
It was a bit dark in there - can you see me?

Undoing the lower bolt, RHS

Installing stone guard on the lwr section

Torquing up - lucky i have a long tq wrench, cant push too high and not very heavy!

LHS was just the same, just had some difficulty with the top mount and aligining the bolt.

Then it was time to wash up and done for the day

You want to see pics of the front tomorrow?

Did the Front Shocks this arvo.
2.5 hrs. Front Left is a bit tricky as mine has ACE so had to undo a bracket that supports the rigid lines.

Front LH is the trickiest to do, coolent tank needs to be moved and the clamp for the ACE lines removed

The original shocks are definatly done, no rebound on them at and feels like linear compression

They are Bilsteins - but should they be Bearsteins?

Washed the LR3 with soap for the first time since I bought it a year and a half ago.

Now I have to tackle the front lower control arms...

Why are you limiting that statement to the North?

Never visited the South?

Very true. Although, I have not visited the south that much. I do, however, remember a bike tripe to Llanberis and we found out to our cost that pubs were shut (then at least) on a Sunday night

That really put a damper on things

I went to a stag do in Swansea (when I was young and single, I hasten to add!) and thought to myself "Friday night, University town, drunken students, hotel room, good night had by all!" or similar.

Before I got there.

After arriving and seeing the mugs on the local populace I reckon if I lived there I might end up shagging Landrovers as well!

Some yard camping with the boys, this won't happen again until the nights cool off or I get an AC for the tent.

Oh hell no.
That V10 had more reliability issues than I can afford to handle.

Personally, I would lean toward the Touareg. I have an LR3, and it's good, but all of the Land Rover goodness is only useful when you're taking it places that it doesn't belong. Plus, the current Touaregs don't have air suspension, which has been a bit unreliable on the LR3.

But yes, definitely avoid the V10 TDI. I'd go for any of the current generation models, but would gravitate toward the V6 TDI.
