Something didn't smell right.

The front brushguard was bent down on the RHS.

The rear trailer hitch had torn out two retaining bolts, the plate was buckled and there was overspray inside the exterior door handles and door hinges.

Ahhhhh ... damaged repairable ... that hadn't quite been repaired properly is my bet.

20/20 truck.

20 feet away at 20 miles an hour its perfect.

I don't mind dents in a off-road vehicle. Its bad repair jobs that scare me away. If you fix it, fix it right. Where else did they skimp?

As with most things like this, it's the things you don't see that will bite you in the ass...

A quick shot of my Land Rover at a car show last weekend - awning, roof tent and hot water shower deployed. The idea behind this truck is to build an expedition vehicle for exploring remote areas of North America in comfort. It also has a winch, dual battery system and an onboard air compressor for airing down and back up.

Nice setup. One of the few cases where having a lovely model (using the shower) would not necessarily add anything to the picture.

Last time I went to "Dogwood Canyon Nature Park" owned by Bass Pro Shops (Johnny Morris) at the time they had quite a few Defenders 90's
Now I see they pull the trams (wagons) with some kind of small truck. When I saw those I thought I had died and gone to heaven....Wonder where those are now.

Latest addition to Mandy the Landy:

Behind the tap is a 44 litre water tank that sits inside a cavity behind the left rear wheel, keeps the weight nice and low and without sacrificing any space inside. You'll also notice the beer bottle opener too
