Me, my Lady, the Tiger and Eastern Canada

Me and the Lady took a month to ride through Eastern Canada, summer 2011.
Here's a summary. This slideshow moves quicker than most, fyi.

Also, to explain the "puzzle scene", we found ourselves getting into Goose Bay at a good hour, but didn't find a room till late because they had no power. Found a sketchy room at the Lab Inn, then a drunk woman knocked the tiger over, into the hotel managers car. Evening of no dinner, local police, warm beer and headlamps.

Enjoy.

NICE area, VERY good skills.

I the problem I would have is this.
We NEVER get to see cactus at all so I'm sure I'd do the ole', "WOW, look at the size of that thing" and run right square into it.

Posted in regional but figured I'd share here too.

finally uploaded the full length videos of that road I went on the other day.
This is an actual road that someone's GPS could potentially send a car down. Wonder how far they'd get?

The hard (for my lame ass anyway) northernmost section of River Road
It starts off nice and easy, lulling you into thinking everything will be ok. It gradually gets worse and worse.

This is the easy section 4 to the south of that Section, that is nice with a little fun thrown in.

Looks like a fun local road. Everyone should have one of those as they get into dual sport riding. In time I bet you'll eat that up and ask why did I think that was so hard.
We have many versions of those in SE Ohio. We call them unimproved roads and yes, show up on GPS as town ship roads.

Maybe, but still it probably isn't wise to do it alone again, there was more going on with that one than I anticipated. Had something happened, who knows when someone would come through next? Need to get one of those SPOTs

The thing that freaked me out a bit on mine was the cliff to my right, in spots it was a long way down.
Your's looks fun. I know I'd have a bit of trouble in the muddy section, the tires I'm currently running pack up with mud really quick turn into slicks but they're great in the dry stuff. I don't seem to have a ton of options with the wide sumo 17" rim

Unless they were seasonal vacation homes, there were houses along the way so I'm sure they'd have rescued the bike......... maybe you too. Serious though, yes. In any situation you are better off riding with a buddy, but sometimes it's just not an option or desired. I still think in time you'll hit that road like pulling down the driveway.

The part I call Section 4 yes, the other one...you can tell someone goes through there sometimes as some fallen trees were cleared but I don't think it's often. everytime I go out I find more and more of these roads.

Lucky guy. Guberment is working hard still to make ever piece of cleared land a paved route for over sized SUV's driven by 4 ft tall soccer mom's around here. It's a 75+ mile drive to where the pavement ends for me.

I only have to go about 300 ft to get to fun stuff that technically I'm not allowed on but noone stops you (literally the street I live on ends about 5 houses up and turns immediately into a trail that leads to a powerline trail) and then about 2 or 3 miles to get to legal stuff like the one video in my account called Mush Paw Road.

I must assume you are either trying to sell me your house or trying to make me dislike you.
