commuters and cagers

no blood and guts but still not nice to watch. idiot cager is speeding, no indicators and jumps two lanes at once. but also looks like the rider is speeding, cutting it close and not indicating either. a good reminder on taking it easy around cagers in traffic...

Yea, so did the driver of the car that pinched the rider! You can't convince me that car driver didn't hear something or even notice the riderless bike behind them. They were on the brakes just after the time he hit the guard rail until the time they decided to keep on going.

Truth.

Sorry fact is though, the rider should have been able to avoid this. Definitely an armchair quarterback thought, but it looks like he target fixated on the guardrail. Could have braked harder and turned a little right and would have kept on his merry way. Sad stuff though, looks like he is pretty hurt.

I think we can all see they both made mistakes, and you can lay blame if it makes you feel better. You're supposed to stop at the scene of an accident. It was fairly obvious the driver knew what had happened and chose to continue on.

true. but i know from experience it happens so quickly often the reflexes dont kick in. had a driver pull out in front of me, just managed to avoid him and should have missed the gutter but just didnt steer away. flipped over a fence and bounced down a hill into a garden with thankfully only a corked thigh.

that vid resonated with me because he looks like he had the same lack of reaction as me, its unexpected and brain-lock kicks in!
