Video editing software
I need something very basic that can save edited files in MP4 format, and that runs on Windows XP. Any suggestions?

Am I allowed to post videos from a ContourHD here?
Much prefer the Contour over my standard GoPro as I find the field of vision more natural (the GoPro is too wide). Not sure how the GoPro HD compares. |

Well, this poor effort won't be winning any cinematic awards, but its my first video using the Go Pro HD.

Here are a couple from my Oregon Scientific ATC2k. I do really want a GoPro HD though!
And this one: I mounted my ATC2k to the belly of my Yellow Lab Rocky while he was practicing dock jumping at the lake... Didn't come out as cool as I had hoped, but still pretty sweet.

A new one
This time I attached the Go Pro camera to the bike's gas tank using the large suction cup attachment. I also swapped out the waterproof access door for the one with holes cut into it. Go Pro said this one would sound better at speeds of under 100 mph. It does.

I have my GoPro Video camera mounted on the front fairing on my KLR in the other videos. On this one it`s on the side of the tank with the suction cup.
This video is just me tooling around my local area along the Des Moines River on whats called the "Alternate Dragoon Trail". It`s a great ride. Who says KLR`s are slow? On the Beartooth Pass in Montana.

You can get similar results from a standard compact camera.
This: + this: + this: ![]() And you get this (these ones with a wide converter) That was 2 weeks ago in a short trip to Portugal. The Cape Roca is the westernmost point of continental Europe. And this is without the converter, without the fastener band and without the minitripod (so just for slow speeds, like the ones of a Minsk motorbike in Vietnam) I hadn't developed the "band+tripod technology" yet so it is a bit shaky. And these are my non GoPro videos. I had one of the first Gopro's 2 years ago, but I did not liked it.

If you set the GoPro HD on setting 5 it will not be quite as wide. 127 degrees instead of 170. Here is few I rendered a bit ago. We are on the road camping full time for the past almost 4 years, the videos take time and bandwidth and I have to wait till winter time when we travel less to edit more of them. I use "Power Director" by the way to edit them. A bit complicated but they have a great Forum for help! Now lets see if I can post them here!!! Schaffer Trail near Moab [IMG][/IMG] Desert Flats near Big Bend [IMG][/IMG] Moky Dugway [IMG][/IMG] There are a few more here.... I use "non-copyrighted" music. Be well... Ara & Spirit
