XR600R's

I'd like everyone to enjoy seeing the Honda XR600R in it's natural enviroment. This is video from yesteryear. Action Shots are paired down to just the bike going by, or climbing the hill, or crossing the creek...ect.
Features hondas from 1990, 92, but mostly Scratch Beetle on his 88.
An amazing compilation!

Damn...is he OK? What was the game plan with the off trail excursion there? ! I'm thinking the trail went around that boulder for a reason. I think Greg knows now probably would have been easier to go around instead of trying to go through it.

Just seems to me he simply drifted left a bit and then all of a sudden the big rock was like RIGHT THERE. I saw rocks scattered about liberally everywhere and they sure blend in with the sagebrush.

If you watch the video over and over it seems the front tire deflected off something, more than likely a small rock, and it sent him off the trail. He was agoing at a decent click so when that happens so fast you just hope to somehow manage to get back on the trail in one piece. Hate it for him. I cringed when it happens no matter how many times I watch it.

Wasn't anyone I knew but from the comments ...

"This accident resulting in two broken wrists. If you slow it down at the rock and go a little at a time, you can see the left hand off the handle bars, already broken wrist and the right arm comes off the handle bar and you can see it crooked. Dislocated Ulna and shattered radius."

Apparently both wrists broke on the hit to first rock. The impact to the second rock looked more dangerous to me. Glad it wasn't any worse. I've had my share of off trail excursions and can relate.

Incidentally, the video has gotten 4000+ hits since I posted it earlier this evening .. it was around 16,000 then. Now at 20,404.

Just a guess but I wonder if he had his tires over inflated for that terrain. Looks like hard pack scattered with rocks and some loose talcum powder on the surface. Looks like he drifts far left then far right and has trouble keeping away from the edges of the trail.

Two broken wrists...that sucks. I can understand some broken ribs too, it looks like he landed on that boulder right before the camera went lights out. That video make my lower back spasm

Oh ya.,,,that's a "get off" and a half!

I hit a lab in a residential area, went over the bars, broken wrist.
A cast on that right arm for 9 months!
