1987 BMW K100 Rig
Digging those crazy rigs from OZ that Chris McArdle has been showing on the "Sidecars - Lets See Them" thread? The stuff right out of "Road Warrior"? Well, now's your chance to own a US version. Built by our own Claude Stanley, the rig has bells and whistles you wouldn't believe.
For further info, contact me at sidecarsarge@yahoo.com. Tom "Sarge" Brown ![]()

Not sure if anyone is interested but this setup has been for sale for over a year from a shop I would consider reputable.
It's a Dnepr (Nee-Per) motorcycle with sidecar WWII style, restored http://barbersshopauto.com/_mgxroot/page_10762.html |

2003 Tourist for Sale: Help me out here
Bike is no longer for sale.
Due to a progressing brain disease, I am forced to sell my 2003 Ural Tourist sidecar rig. This Ural is one of the motorcycles sold during the period when IMZ was taking over the importation and distribution of Urals in the U.S., and it one of the “CMSI” bikes. I purchased it new from the Wagners dealership in La Port, Indiana, new, in August 2003. Bike has been reliable and trouble-free for the last two years. Solid. Price is $7,000 and includes the trailer and all parts listed. Photos are big so that you can see the details, warts and all. ![]() ![]() ![]() 21,000K miles.Drum brakes all around. 750cc, electric or kick start. Electric (Series 3) ignition. Spot-welded ignition rotor. Russian alternator has been replaced with the new Nippondenso alternator with adaptor. Retro valve covers (original stock covers included in sale). Two almost new Avon Triple Duty Sidecar tires (front and driver wheels). Radiator hose intake hoses have been replaced with reinforced aircraft ventilation tubing. Scissors jack (from a Volvo) included. Vetter Windjammer III mounted and a Harley Sportster boat-tail seat replacing Ural tractor seat and stock rear fender and lights (I designed all of this so that it can be removed and the original parts put back on if I ever got tired of it). Fairing has a seven-and-a-half-inch diameter Bosch headlight from a /6 BMW (with a Vetter headlight adaptor). Sealed, gel battery mounted between bike and sidecar. Barnett heavy-duty front brake cable plus spare. New headlight relays. Two main fuses replaced with modern automotive-style fuses. Battery tender. Heavy-duty motorcycle cover (brown canvas and huge). Stainless steel "Manic Salamander" Bar-end weights and cushioned grips. Power outlet on fainring with a second hook-up for the Battery Tender on the battery box. Hinged, pivoting mirrors (carbon fiber housings). Aftermarket no-seam mufflers, eliminated the crossover tube. Headlight on/off switch mounted on fainring. Motovation "night-glow" analog clock. Also included in the purchase is a Haulmark enclosed trailer, torsion bar suspension. Purchased new in August 2003 when I bought the motorcycle. Ramp-style rear door, no side doors. Seven feet wide by twelve feet long, ten feet high. Four tie-down points, one at each corner of the trailer. Four ratchet-style nylon tie-down straps. Aluminum with a steel frame. It has electric brakes with an emergency activation feature if the trailer breaks loose while being towed. ![]() ![]() ![]() The floor jack partially shown in the last picture is also included. I am willing to sell the bike and trailer separately, too. $4000 for the bike/sidecar $3000 for the trailer. Bike is no longer for sale.

Strange is not enough of a definition!
I dunno Richard, it kinda looks para-military and even looks hand built from the square edges on the car....I just keep thinking "Tank" when I look at it.....there are sure some strange things coming out of the woodwork lately.....
