Careful what you ask for. Those are my two highest cost items.
Got the Cayman back today, $300 for an oil change??? Paid off my
daughters credit card and funded her depleted checking account.

Trust me, I'm doing you a favor..... stay single.

Oh you two-timing bitch! My daughter will cry herself to sleep.

To think I was maybe two posts away from calling you "Son".

That is a beautiful car. May it be in your garage soon.

Okay, I'm a little confused. Why would you be buying him a car or a Toro?

I used to think that Porsche owners were the kind of fucking assholes that'd take up not one, but two, handicap parking spots... guess I was right...

In any case, here's a 928 GTS...

Same experience here. I've had six 911's over a number of years and have spent less money on cars than wife's Olds, Chevy, etc. If you keep the P's clean, take care of paint, do regular maintenance the resale value usually off-sets the extra cost of the car.

Just finished refurbishing a 1959 356 coupe and gladly sold it...a real rust bucket...after countless countless hours sold it for what I paid for the car...rebuilding the older 912, 911, 356 is usually a big money bucket.

Been fortunate to visit the Porsche factory in Zuffenhausen 3 times over the last 15 yrs...and found it a real education. 911's used to be 100% hand assembled, welded, and painted... one master mechanic (engineering degree) and a helper built two 911 engines a day...entire plant put out 64 911's and 23 928's a day...but in the last 10 yrs they are mostly robotic and numbers have greatly increased.

I bought a 944 Turbo at the factory when they first came out and irregardless of what anyone says...THEY ARE MADE BY AUDI. When Audi got in trouble with the brake peddle issue...they were about to fold and Porsche simply farmed out the 944 to the Audi factory about 20 miles from the Porsche factory. 944 Turbo was a good little car but no where near the workmanship of the 911 or 930. Porsche built the 944 engines at the Porsche factory and shipped them by truck to the Audi factory where it was installed and Audi did everything else.

Always lusted for a 914 to rebuild but never got around to it. Interesting that back when it first came out it was sold in Germany as a VW. I'm pretty sure it was totally built by VW, simply designed by Porsche at Weisach.

My last 911 was the 911 Turbo (or 930)...amazing car! It eventually was stolen out of my garage, and never seen again...and I've since left Porsche products. Too expensive for me!

If anyone is looking for a GREAT Porsche product...the "Cayman S" is the most impressive car I have driven since the 930. I would not have the plain Jane Caymen (totally different engine) but the Cayman "S" is like riding on rails and will pull anyone back in their seats.....but nothing compares to the 930 Turbo.

my 2 cents.
