I'd get a longnose, just so I could put the Singer headlights in there.

Our friend that works for them is just moving up north to the HQ for Singer. I'm praying when he gets here I'll get some sort of tour or the like. And have no fear, I'll have the camera in tow...

Singer - thanks for posting, piranha

They've got the essence exactly right haven't they. Perfection. My first lottery winnings purchase. My second would be to take a modern 911 and have someone do a similar thing: lighten it everywhere but keep it live able.

Generally, I'm not a fan of the Targa (mainly because the Americanised versions look awful). But, that one looks good. I need to figure out why.

p.s. Love this thread

I've always found that the angle in which you view a Porsche has a lot to do with it. Sounds nuts, but... like looking at a beautiful woman...

Yes, but I think it's a combination of things: the rims (with fairly tall profile tires) - it may have been lowered a little too, the black rather than chrome trim around the windows, the front lights (which don't have those huge ugly surrounds) etc.,

and yes, that is a good angle.

I have posted this over in the Charlottesville VA thread too but I'm cross posting here just in case there is someone on this thread who is in the area who might be interested and didn't see it there. And because almost all of us in this thread appreciate a pic of a Rothmans rally Porsche.

I found a documentary on the 1984 dakar and the owner at a local bar/resturant has agreed to screen it next Wednesday night at 8 pm, details here in the c-ville thread. come on out
