I saw a Panamera on the road a couple days ago so I convinced my dad to check it out at the Porsche dealer. Here is the Turbo in the showroom. I imagine opinions will vary greatly as to its appeal. I think it's one hell of a car and this is the best color. The interior is very well done. The gadgets and switches are there but in the background not highlighted as if to show off all the technical toys they invented. The seats are very comfortable and the back seat is much more spacious than it looks from outside. It's also 8 way adjustable.

I don't recall Porsches name for the car in the photograph but I think it's the best color so far. Garnet red would look good, sky blue with a slight pearlescent to bring out the curve and hunter green metallic. If you like extroverted colors which I do, bright yellow metallic would be pretty awesome or maybe the Gulf livery.

Your right, it does not photograph well at all. I too did not like it at first, but when I got a chance to really check one out, it is pretty nice. I could see owning one (once they depreciate down below 20k).

Picked up a screw in the Cayman today. Destroyed the rear tire.
No spare. 4 days to ship a Michelin sport in, $600. Hmmmm,
remind me why I put up with this shit????

My son did remind me that Porsche has a 100% free tow for life
to the closest dealer. Is that true?

I'll answer my own question. I was bitching to my wife about how
the car can be a PITA and she told me the neighbor kid said it is
the most sexy car he had ever seen and sounds so cool with that exhaust.

There, that settles it. It's all worth it if I can make a 15 year old kid drool.

Hey Porsche guys help me out here.

I have an old [fast] 1970 mopar that I drive at Watkins Glen International Racetrack in high performance driving schools. [street driven car that goes 130 mph on the back straight] I have been doing this for over 20 yrs now...over 9,000 miles of track time.

Why is it that the Porsche people crash more than any other make of automobile on the track??? One year not too long ago the Porsche people crashed 18 cars over a 2 day event...and another year a driver got killed in a 1 car mishap in the "toe of the boot". Every year there are stories from the track workers as well.

In the school I attend only a couple a cars get the "blue stripe" or an off road experience and there is some serious iron running the course. Actual crashes are rare.

Is it something in the air or water???
