What a perfect touring day. The weather was great. The temperature was pleasant up on the mountains, but a little hot down below. Today we made 240 miles at a very relaxed stop and smell the roses pace. We rode across much of the length of Lookout Mountain to its terminus in Chattanooga thenzipped up the highway and parked it for the night in Tellico Plains. While in Chattanooga we ate at the Bluewater Grill and saw the Tennessee Aquarium.

Karin managed to drag her centerstand on the Little River Canyon Road.

Here's Karin geared up and ready to roll out from friends Joe and Tiffany's place in Moody AL.

Cruising down the highway in between Sand and Lookout Mountains.

Up in ADV Max's neck of the woods. I was afraid to stop in Rainbow City...not that I'm homophobic or anything.

Little River Canyon National Park has quite a few scenic overlooks. The Little River Canyon Rim Road is nice and twisty with good sightseeing along the way.

Desoto State Park is beautiful. Flow over Desoto Falls was minimal today.

Coming off of the mountain and into Chattanooga.

Food!!! Karin was a good girl and had salad. I had deep fried smoked slamon with remoulade sauce.

The aquarium has some very cool critters in it.

And the view from the cabin. The Tellico River has some nice trout in it.

What a blessing it is to be able to share such an experience with my daughter. It's very scary watching her roll within 10 feet of Semi's on an interstate though.

Perfect. That canyon rocks. Max should be along shortly with the photos he took at that very spot during our ride there.

Well done!

You should be careful where you sit, you never know WHO's been standing on that thing.

I'm glad you got to see the canyon, that's my Sunday morning ride most weekends. I'll ride from south to north then take a left on Hwy 35 at Little River Falls then about a mile up on the right cut over into the management area. From there it's several miles of dirt that puts you back out on the Lookout Mountain Parkway and on up to Mentone for coffee.

Little RIver Canyon is our best kept secret in Nawth Alabama.

No, don't be fooled there's nothing high tech on his bike. That's why he got us lost...

In the middle of nowhere...

On roads that were not even on maps...

But we found our way. I think he has some sort of internal North thing going on.

Today was a new kind of adventure. The twisties were a lot of fun, and I made my papa proud scrapin' hard parts on the scoot scoot
Coming down the mountain, around all the curves, only a guard rail between me and a complete dropoff... It's a rush.

The aquarium was perty nifty. I saw a gator.

He looked hungry... Probly wanted a bacon sammich.

It's late and I'm sleepy, so I'm crashin. Goodnight leghumpers and lurkers!
