Garmin Europe map
I just purchased the Garmin City Select map for Europe by download. Now I realize that I can't plan trips, lay out routes, etc in mapsource as I'm used to doing.
How do I plan my trip, save cities and hotels, etc to my unit?

Call the Support at Garmin, they where really helpfull and send me a DVD with the map I downloaded from theire Web-Site. Otherwise you are out of luck. You either use the Navi-Device to plan a trip, which is not very elegant or you go and buy (or via Support) the correct DVD to do your planing in MapsSOurce (which is also not really good, but at least you are working with a larger screen). The "Download" software does not have the PC Loader in it. It only loads the mapset to the GPS. This offering is basically for folks that don't want to use MapSource or PC route planning.
Order the DVD version of any Garmin software if you plan to use MapSource.
