Omg!!

It blows me away looking at the 850 rotting away! I understand we all let life get in the way of fun but letting old iron rot stumps the mind! The 850 looks pretty complete why not bring it back to life where it belongs. The rotting CBX kills me as it was always my dream bike so smooth and what a sound!!!

Ah, the venerable 125 cc 1967 Monkey Wards Riverside is in the front - my first bike, back in 1969.

Let's face it - people who let fine machines rot away are sick.

lol, the 850 runs. right after the picture, I put in a battery and it started second kick. it looks worse than it really is.
face it, people that let fine machines sit and rot, make it easier for us poor folks to buy them. without the sickness , no "barn finds"

You are killing mei I'll beleive it when you post pictures of it running!! How's the CBX run? It just ters me up seeing all these grand machines turning to rust and BWS nests.

It reminds me of a fine bottle of Dom (champagne) that an old girlfriend's father let us uncork, it was dead but you could still tell how good it was before it turned. He had cases of the stuff all of which had turned because it wasn't consumed a f'n waste!!

Te CBX ran when it was "put up" I'm sure that no fuel stablizer was used though. The Norton does run.

WOW!

I had one of those in the late 80's. What a great looking, fun to drive little car! I took out the cranky Abarth engine (the head had been milled down to nothing, and I didn't want to put miles on it), and replaced it with a 903 I rebuilt. I took it racing a few times and had a blast passing the big dogs in the twisties, and watching them blow my doors off on the straights.

God, what a fun little car. Wish I'd never let it go.

Bonhams is delighted to feature the ultimate motorcycle 'Barn Find' at The International Classic MotorCycle Show, Stafford on 25th April 2010.

Bonhams is privileged to announce the sale of an original circa 1895 Hildebrand & Wolfmüller motorcycle at the first of its two annual Stafford auctions. Manufactured in Munich, Germany, the Hildebrand & Wolfmüller is of the utmost historical significance as the first powered two-wheeler to enter series production, and is the first such vehicle to which the name 'motorcycle' (motorrad in German) was ever applied.

The find of the decade
