The Nuvi 500 and 550 can do that you can get a refurb for $190ish including topo. No bluetooth though so your solution may be better

No deal update...but rather a question. Didn't Garmin have a $100 rebate going on the Zumo 550 last year? For some reason I remember sale prices in the high $500's, low $600's - with a rebate of a $100 on top of that? If so, did it apply to the 660 as well?

Just wondering if I should hold out for any "seasonal" rebate offers from Garmin..

Refurb 60CSX for $189 shipped

I'm still holding out for a sub $175 because I'm a patient cheap bastard.

On a side note, since no deal has come up, looks like I'll be using my old etrex on a weekend backpacking trip...

Nuvi on sale at Cabela's

Looks like, starting the 17th, Cabela's will have both the Nuvi 1450 and the Nuvi 1300LM on sale for $139.99. In stores and online.

I just bought a Garmin Nuvi 1490T from Amazon for $132.

I know it isn't waterproof, but I have lots of baggies, and a Garmin 2720 if it might be really wet.

Delorme @ Amazon

There's a few PN-60 w Spot retailers at Amazon.com right now with prices between $368 and $389. Reg $550 in many places I believe.

I got a fairly good price match from someone local'ish, but for anyone south of the 49th, that's a good deal.

Just ordered one. Seems like a pretty good deal and I've got a bunch of baggies also.

UPDATE: March 28
I've been using it for a week or so in my car. It's pretty good for the money but I haven't been able to upload tracks to it yet. I've been on some other forums and that seems to be a problem. I might have to resort to calling Garmin if I can't get it figured out.

BTW - I put my 2720 up for sale on Amazon and within 6 hours had sold it for $209. I'm down to a 60CS, 60 CSx (my favorite) and the 1490T.

Best I can find today is $399 from Walmart. Looks likes Amazon bumped their own price as soon as the $369 deal from one of the dealers in their 'Martketplace' expired.

If anyone knowsd of a better deal for the PN60W+spot, please post up.

Update Garmin 2720

If you've got a Garmin 2720 that needs to be updated to the latest maps, like CNNA2011.40NT, contact ...GL1800Guy . He's able to load the US, Canada & Mexico maps into the Garmin 2720 and still have room left over for additional maps.

60CSx at REI for $219.95

Given REI's very liberal return policy, this seems like the current best price out there. Anyone find a better deal today?
