The GPS City deal was great. I picked up the Montana 650- CNNA - Auto mount combo; the AMPS rugged mount; and the bicycle mount for $649 complete, with ultra-cheap shipping.

Eastern Mountain Sports has the Montana for a penny more but free shipping (at least for the US).

Assuming EMS have any left - I read on another forum that they ran out yesterday or the day before. But keep in mind that most shops will price match so point them to GPSCentral's site to see what they are charging, and ask your favourite store to match it.

Their website shows them in stock but yea, who knows until you buy. I like the fact they take paypal.

Edit: I went ahead and placed the order. Said item was in stock throughout purchase. Looks like I can use this for auto, moto, hiking and MTB. Seems like a winner.

I realize this may be not the proper thread for questions... but...
Does the nuvi550 record tracks?
Haven't I read that the Oregons screen is hard to view in sunlight?
Looking to replace my street pilot 2720 if I can find something suitable.

The Nuvi 500/550 does record tracks, the drawback is it lacks advanced management. Can't change colors or recall / manage tracks directly on the device.

We have a few Oregon 450t at work and they seem fine to read in direct sunlight, not great but not poor.
