Well, we came to Baja intending to stop off in Mulegé for a couple of days on our way to touring the peninsula. After 5 days here we have hesitantly decided it's finally time to move on and see some more. Al is quite the man about town around here and everyone knows him. They act like they like him too! We've eaten tacos at every local place, toured the ranchos and petroglyph caves, picked 10 lbs of oranges, harassed Road Rash by Skype, harvested the garden outside the casita, pulled half a bucket of clams from the lagoon, found some world traveling Guzzi Brits and had them over for dinner and cervezas......what more can we do?

http://www.guzzioverland.co.uk
(The blog is way behind but check out that crazy bike!)

It's been an amazing stay and makes me think this retirement thing should be a career goal for me.

For those who don't know, I quit my job a few weeks ago. Upon doing so I was offered something different and I accepted, but it requires a move to Anchorage. So Jen and I are on a little sabbatical getting our travel on, soaking up the last of the vitamin D before moving up there in May. After 14 years at the same employer I finally got a break, but it sure wasn't how I expected it.

Right now my greatest concern is spooning up next to this amazing chica next to me. Tomorrow we get to ride our motorcycles together in Mexico.

What else is there?
