biggest microsd that works in 60csx?
Now that I'm actually going to start riding my bike (well mountain bike) off the pavement I figured itd be nice to have the Topo map. I currently use the 2010.2 CN on a 2gb microsd and it takes up almost the whole thing. I was thinkin of a 4gb high cap but Im worried it wont recognize it. Does anyone use one? Will there be any funky display issues with having the 24k topo and CN both on one sd?

You should be fine.
I used a TOPO 24K card (pre-programmed) in a 60Csx - the card was a 4G card.

2025 segment limit.
Remember you will at some point be limited by the number of map segments. The limit for the 60 is something like 2025 segments. I loaded Roads & Rec, Topo and CitySelect. With these older maps I hit the count limit at about 1gb on a 2gb card. Coverage was from the Continental Divide > West.
Try building the map set you want in MapSource and check how the segment count and memory required look. Newer maps should be less of a problem. Bruce |

Depends on your version of software.
3.70 has a 2Gb limit. 3.90 and onwards (4.0 recommended, fixes bugs in 3.90) supports 4Gb Sd. As stated above, the 2025 map tile/segment limit still applies (for some reason Garmin never fixed this limitation). I'm currently running ver. 4.0 on my 60CSx and a 4Gb Sd card no worries. |
