Klay, I am glad you enjoyed them! The thing that makes me feel good about those pics is how they show that even as fast as this old world seems to turn with change anymore, some things remain close to unchanged.

Four Inch Rain Earlier in the morning made these roads a no go..

This is very near the original spot of Fort Mandan, when Lewy and Clark wintered over..


Down stream from the Garrison Dam, the tailrace as we call it...

Hwy 12 from Valentine to Butte gave up nice enough pictures on the backside of the storm, that I decided to forgo the GS Wrestling that would have ensued down those soft country roads.......

I was just thinking about that area last month when I was staying over near Tuttle...Looks like she's greening up nice...

As I ride through the midwest, these murals always seem to catch my eye. I was just out for a Sunday ride when I came across this one in Central Nebraska.

I have a tradition whenever I head out into the plains..

I start my trip by listening to this song.. one of my all time favorites and arguably one of the best songs ever written about the great plains.


Driving down
A corduroy road
Weeds standing
Shoulder high
Ferris wheel is rusting off

God i love those old murals and advertising they used to do on buildings, it has so much more appeal to me than any billboard or back light plastic painted on c--p. I am a bit biased tho, being in the mural business for a bit.
