Don't know if this qualifies as great plains, but you can ride for 100s of kilometers and only go between 120-160 metres above sea level

I did......Those were taken with a Nikon DSLR...The D2X with a nikon 18-70mm lens..Manual mode...ISO 100, f8, shutter around 1/60...Two were early and one was taken late, so I used a gitzo tripod w/really right stuff bh55, with a nikon mc 30 release...

I also use Nikon D200 DLSR, and a Canon G10 to get similar results....

You get all that?
