One is disallowed from joining in on any communal mourning or celebration by the laws regarding flying pickets...

Best typo ever. Hope no public monies are wasted on a state funeral. Put it out to tender and let the lowest bid escort her final race to the bottom.

It would only be fitting.

R100S Carb Body

Ding-Dong! The Witch Is Dead

Also, do any of the UK contingent have a spare left hand carb body for sale that I can use on my 1978 R100S - so 40mm (I think)

She played cricket? I had no idea. Still, some people will be having a party come Saturday?

I understand some suffering was involved, tho/ough perhaps more on the part of the general populace circa '79 onwards?...

Yes, posting the vid of the song from the Wizard of Oz seems to be the general reaction, tho/ough I myself am precluded from any comment as I have taken a Super Injunction out on myself. I think we can all agree it's for the best...

No spare 40s here I'm afraid, and I'm not sure if DBD is gathering great piles of airhead parts as a personal spares bin, for resale, or to start a museum

Talking of DBD & his amassed airhead stable of airheads, I'm sure I saw barbecue smoke rising from the direction of his abode over the weekend

Sorry, rightsideup....I have a pair of 40mm Bings, but I'm saving them to use as magic seeds to try and grow a magic Airhead in my shed. And anyway, I've still got those Scottish Poonds from the last time I sold you airhead parts. In any case, at least we can rejoice in the timely demise of the milk snatcher, so
there's something positive to be had, in the circumstances.

How about renting me the left one (preferably for a purely nominal fee) until such time as I find a suitable one on fleabay? I really need one 'the noo' as we say in Scotlandshire.

How can I resist 'the noo'? Tell you what I'll do....I'll have a look at it tomorrow, and see what kind of condition it's in (I haven't looked inside it)
and let you know; meanwhile, pm me your address and email details?

I note it has the ATE front brakes - not my favourite. Pipes look a good length and should allow the engine to breathe. BArs are good, and similar to mine. I'd be interested to know what the tank is from?
