Hey planktonnn if your not fussy about how old the tyres are would you like the two off the red one once my new shed is built?

I wonder what happened to Martin Wright ?
He had the race of a lifetime in the 250cc class.
Yup, after that start he needed to work for it but still he made spectacular progress. I've not done a full scale excavation but a series of small test drillings haven't thrown up any info about him so I imagine we can assume that he suffered the fate of most fast clubbies and is still lapping somewhere, tho/ough my guess is he doesn't still have that curly head of hair...

Why yes, that could work

I guess that's one of the bad things about moving house, all that having to reconstruct Shedness n stuff. Of course on the other hand it does raise the possibility of throwing up a Mighty Supershed

Work of DBDs new workshop is progressing well -

Now I’ve said it before but Peeple really are fucking stupid. Please don’t get me wrong, I don’t exclude myself from this observation, but people really are fucking stupid. Big people, small people, powerful people, poor people. People really are fucking stupid.

And like I say, I don't think of myself as above this, I too am People.

But alongside the generally fucking stupid people are a particular bunch of Promenade Percys that really piss me off, and they my dears are the Trust Funded or otherwise (somehow) cashed up pains in the arse who have found their (very) little selves an interest in airheads. You can tell them, they’re the ones with the magazine features & the swanky line in ‘corporate’ T Shirts retailing at £22* & Caps emblazoned with the logo of their vanity imaginary build shop. It’s not strictly imaginary because they do have a workshop, in the ‘So dodgy it’s hip’ end of town. But they're dilettantes. When I think of them I’m reminded that the first action shown in Charley & Ewans DVD, just after they’ve decided to ride round the world, is to set up an office…

It’s not these named celebrities that I’m specifically pointing at, but I note with fermented dismay that over the last couple of years there have been many invaders into our happy world of Airhead ownership. You see I’m thinking more of those motley bunches of commercialised dilettantes spread all aroundabouts here in the Former United Commonwealth Kingdoms. Those turds that are pushing the prices up for the rest of us, with their tidyish but derivative builds that pollute eBay & the general marketplace with their ridiculous prices.

By way of tangential example - many many years ago I used to enjoy the Brick Lane Market in London, where you could always pick up some curio or other for pennies. But then it was invaded by the like of cashed up accountants who were prepared to pay £120 for an old Roberts Radio, so then all the little stalls that used to sell old tools for pennies started pricing them like they were bloody antiques, and then the price of stalls went up, and the prices of old spanners and stuff rose accordingly and the rest of us were edged out. Fucking outrageous.

Now to be fair, people can do what they want. But then that means I can do what I want in return, and so in return I wish they'd fucking stop pushing the prices up.

* Cost £6 at a stretch? Wankers.

Ah, well, no. Old is when you've more memories than plans. We sorted that one in the great 'Old Mass Debate' somewhere around post 2745-3125 or thereabouts. Forgive me, my people seem to have neglected their work on the index

I think what we have to realize is that all those things that were near and dear to us as kids and young adults are now really and truly antiques. Same as our bikes, any survivors will only go up in perceived value... ( and price, given the monetary systems slow demise ) You could buy things at the store for a penny or nickle when I was a kid. Had to make that $0.25 allowance last a week. Young people who look at my 1970s BMW now, are seeing the same thing I saw when, for example, an old guy in a Model T rode through town in the 1950s. Perhaps some people are developing an appreciation for Things That Last (not necessarily a bad thing) and as a result, those things will be selling for a premium.

Awww, that's so sweet. If appearances turn out to reflect reality then for saying this I have been defriended/blocked in another forum by one of the Promenade Percys herein referred to
