Hey yrunotriding,

A Multistrada 1000 and a ST1300 you say... I don't suppose you have a friend up in MI who is in need of a new ride? I think I may know you out in the real world

Haha, I was surprised as hell that the name wasn't taken.

I was ready to grab the Fedex Field tag after work...oh well. I'll go grab the one for the DCsportbikes.com game instead (that's how I found out about this). Thanks for the welcome!

OK, you got my curiosity as to why. They look good, but after renting one in Italy (see my ride report in sig line) and talking to some others familiar with the bike, I've been trying to figure out who in the US would pay this much for the performance. (hp vs weight)

Would this be as a commuter or run-around bike?

Bob

Just started to lurk. Probably won't get a tag for some time as I'm at school in PA most of the year. Riding an F650GS around western Montgomery County (see Whites Ferry and Monocacy Aq. tags, thats basically my backyard).

I'm actually surprised people don't post more stuff about my area (maybe I'm not looking hard enough), I guess most of the places I ride still haven't been discovered by the civilized world.

I get up around there from time to time...just not often enough. Some folks I know meet up at Point of Rocks sometimes. I take the back way there from River Rd to Edwards Ferry through Martinsburg up to 28.

Welcome

The plan is to wait for them to come down about $1500-$2000 (ala ST 13, VFRs, 919's)then get a finance deal for about 0.9-1.9 percent and then I think it will be a great commuter. I already have a great all arounder (Bandit 1250) but the thing I don't like is that my commute to work (construction yard) ends on a dirt road and I can't keep the chain from looking very bad and the black bike has now turned to water spotty colored. So i'm thinking nt700v would be a nice comprimise.

Welcome aboard Gavin. the tag map shows quite a few tags out your way. Sometimes you just have to do an epic ride to bring the tag back to your area. And as far as you spending much of your timein PA:::Just keep in mind my predictable/boring ass taking every tag to the PA border.
