No Fumar Espanol Redux!!
Vince!
Been in the bush hunting for the last couple weeks but just got caught up with your RR!!! So it sounds like you guys where the first to stop by Coco's since I was there? New Caribous hold as much as your soft bags? You gunna bring the tail duffel too? Jen and I are talking about crossing the country from SF to NY next summer on the 990 but your photos are making us change our minds and maybe go back down to Baja! Good chit amigo! Be safe! The Caribous hold a lot of crap. I got the 36 liter Hardigg cases. They are not as stout as the Pelicans, but they weigh about 2 lbs less each. The Pelicans are definately beefier. We shall see how that works out. The big advantage is that I was able to get rid of that heavy ass tail duffle. I also got rid of a bunch of crap since I was putting on weight with the hard bags. All said and done, the hard bags are great. I liked my Gobis, but they were so wide that I kept hitting everything with them. I only hit one car and one street sign today with the Hardigg cases. Going south is just so much more fun than staying in the north. go for it.

Today was a day to make some miles south. I got up at O'dark Thirty and rode out around 6 am. Left home in the midst of at thick marine fog layer and headed over to Tecate, took the compadre trail to Ojos, then picked up the dirt from Valle de Trinidad to Mex 1 south of San Vicente. After that, I slabbed it the rest of the day.
Lunch stop at Mama Espinosa's in El Rosario. ![]() ![]() Set up camp at the Malarrimo Hotel in Guererro Negro. ![]() Had some killer scallops with garlic. ![]() I'm about dead. Today's totals, 500 miles: 100 dirt, 400 pavement. I'm beat. ![]() The new rear Pirelli Scorpion was awesome on the pavement and hooked up surprisingly well in the dirt. Saludos..........

It matches the shiney white ADV sticker
It's late. Now go pass out. "Hey soldier, do you know who's in command here?" "Yeah" "Crashmaster!" (Unfortunately, this third line hit the cutting room floor )

Take two!
Godspeed man. Try not to traumatize the natives too much - our one-two might be a bit overwhelming for them.
