Nice

Nice clip. I'm a little butt-hurt you left me out. On the plus side, the Arizona Women's Softball team just beat Tennessee twice today to meet UCLA for the WWS championship best of three. This year my wife bought me a special cable package and I got to watch the girls shower - I always knew they were in that locker room rubbing oil on each othern now I know. Okay, back to my McCalum's and re-watching your cool photo story clip, sniff, sniff

Yeah the supermotard is a hoot
. Did I really just pass a Daytona in the chicane

Phone

Cagúese, afligido yo extrañé su llamada. La esposa y yo vamos a la casa playera hasta sábado, yo intentaré a Skype usted.

Keep you eye out for a throw away bike or one I can resell in Lima or ? Thinking odds are better if I can fly in, take the wife to MP, then ride around a few weeks with you. Must be lots of KLR 650's down that way?

ship to Peru

Ztrab,

Check the last update to our thread if you haven't already. About $2000 to ship to Lima,,,,, Steep to say the least! Might be able to put you in touch with our broker to see if she can find a cargo company that can do the container stuff in Lima for less. Let me know.

Vincenzo!

Dude, glad to see your doing good down there! I miss Columbia a bunch!! I did some checking up here for Cerveza Panama. Apparently they do not import to the U.S. Will keep up the search! Keep it up!

Thanks amigo.

Yeah, given the fact that I am moving so slowly, I figured that the time between good updates would be so long that most folks would become disinterested. Actually, I understand that.

Thanks for sticking with it. When its all over, it should be a nice continuous read, I hope.

Since I have been in Medellín I have really been slacking. I am comfortable here, it feels like home, like I could get into a routine and enjoy it. Dont worry though, I will be moving soon, but Colombia is one of those places that has had an effect on me, and caused me to think about staying long term........

Disinterested?

No way. IMO, it just seems like you're doing stuff all the time.. So when I don't see an update, I start to wonder what happened. Not every day you're going to meet some hottie and be invited to have dinner with her and the family.. Well, that's what I always hope for you anyway

I did a short trip from San Francisco to San Diego.. 3 of the 5 days took 2 hours to blog with pictures and two of the days.. There was almost nothing. But I'm a photo-whore so I take lots of pictures..

Keep up the blog dude.. I always look forward to the next time...

You know...Avianca is the second oldest airline in the world. Hmmmmm Maybe their hiring. I got a buddy that I went through flight training with and he got a gig down there 20 years ago and I haven't seen him since (yes, yes, alive and well. No sarcastic jokes there guys).

Keep the greasy side down!

Thanks amigos, I need to start working on an update. I stayed at Al's place in Medellin. The Barking Spider is now closed, but Al opened up a hostal and Argentinian steak house a couple of blocks from Parque Lleras in Medellin. As typical of my travels, I stopped for a a couple of days, and stayed a month.

I'll put in some pics of Al's new place and restaurant, GPS coordinates etc in the next update.

Shipping to Columbia.

So, how much did it cost you to send your bike to Colombia? I thought I read $2k.. Which is insane in my book.. I saw that you can get it shipped via boat for about $400, which is a lot more in my realm.. But I also know that the boat delivery is not as reliable either. I'm just thinking that if you're riding back, it's another $2k you gotta spend..
