Now that's a little extreme Uli, leaving the Country only because you didn't get a written invitation! I'm sure you will be thinking of us while you're in Spain hiking... have fun!

We do need to get out on a ride eventually...

Got Super Enduro?

Just saw that there's a 950 SE on consignment a the GJ KTM dealer. It's a local (Fruita) bike with 8-9K miles on it. Bike looks very clean and has dual FMF cans, Black Dog bash plate an rear cargo plate installed.
I think the owner is asking for over 10K for it. I little (a lot, actually) higher than I think it's worth, but perhaps there's a bunch of negotiating room.
Anyway, the darn things are not all that commonly on the market, so I thought I'd share the ever-so-exciting news with you.

Now get back to work!

Well, decided to skip Battlement Lakes and head up to the Roan Plateau.

Tomorrow morning we'll be heading up JQS trail, planning on returning Monday. Seems like there are a fair amount of trails to explore. I figure I've lived here over 10 years, I should probably get to know my backyard

Just a reminder about next Saturday's ride!

June 1st, 8:30 AM meet at Randys Southside Diner for coffee -
2704 U.S. 50
Grand Junction, CO ‎

Google Maps link - https://maps.google.com/maps?q=2704+...gl=us&t=h&z=16

Planning on leaving about an hour later, so 9:15-9:30 AM. We will ride from Grand Junction, down Unaweep Canyon to Gateway, then up John Brown and over the La Sal mountains to Moab... depending how much of a challenge we're up for, we have a couple options. I don't mind deciding on the trail, but I'd like to ride down Hideout Road and Onion Creek. The other option is catching the La Sal Loop road and hitting Sand Flats road at the top and take it on into Moab.

Late lunch in Moab, then back to GJ by the river road (Hwy 128). We could ride to Cisco and pickup some dirt roads at Westwater, then the old highway back to GJ, or possibly drop down into Rabbit Valley and take more dirt back towards Mack.

Bring water, some snacks and any tools & stuff you may need! I would expect a FULL day's riding, approx. 250+ miles so come prepared to ride!

Depends on what kind of pace we make and how long we stay in Moab for lunch, but I would imagine we will be home in time for dinner.

Ok, I can always peel off early and slab it back to GJ. I'll just remember to bring my OmniCruise.

I rebuilt it over the winter. Just generally went through everything and made it mine (bought it last summer). Once I put it back together I took it for a couple of shakedown rides where it developed a weird sputter. I hoped it just needed valves adjusted so I did that and it didn't help. I took it in to all sports and they just told me the top end is basically shot. Timing chain, cam, rockers, valves, valve seats, piston, rings. So my baby is at the doctor for another two weeks...

Great ride today guys! It was great to meet new friends, see old friends and ride some great roads! We'll have to do it again soon.

We ended up cutting the ride a little short after my 690 had battery issues, John and I bailed from the La Sal loop road, down thru Castle Valley and heading on home to GJ. Hopefully everyone else made it home safe and enjoyed the ride.

Some pics from our stop in Gateway...
