Don't see why not, John! Might need a bigger tank on that WR for the White Rim though!

I've got a KLR for that kind of adventure riding. Love exploring the back roads and hidden places.

Not me.

At least, not today. I barely have the 990 broken in! Sure would like to flog one for an afternoon, though.

The White Rim trail is probably one of the most epic dual sport rides around Moab, Lockhart is 2nd and has a few challenging parts. Riding up Onion Creek and into the La Sals is something everyone needs to experience, etc. There are so many options... I'd be more than happy to help with putting together a ride and joining you guys for a long weekend in Moab!
+1 to Onion Creek and the rides Unaweep mentioned. Top of the World is doable on a KLR, but is a challenge.

Anybody know how much snow, if any is out in Rabbit Valley/Westwater area? I was thinking of riding out there on new years day.

Usually the local BLM office goes out there to check on their stuff regularly. Might want to call them and then let us know.

Haven't been out to RV or beyond recently, but I was out shooting in the Fruita desert the day before yesterday... there was still about 4" of snow and it's very crusty. I don't think it's going anywhere before New Years day and I don't think there will be any changes between now & then.

Took a drive out there this afternoon. Your suspicions are confirmed!

About 4" of crusty snow.

That sucks. Know any other good places to ride over there that doesn't have any snow? Need to get out and do some riding.

St George is fun, been there a couple times. I might be game for something like that. Keep me posted if you want company. I'm headed to Wickenburg in February for my annual winter beating. Just need somewhere to ride between now and then.

Delta area looks good and bared off. Sure there is snow in the shade but its been hitting the mid 30's to low 40's should be decent especially morning before the mud comes out.
