Is that what it's going to take for you and Oscar to visit me? So be it.

As good a place as any

Being we all ride a very reliable machine, that would be very do-able!
what date would work ?

I will be riding to Wyoming for the BMW rally, but this would be way more fun! Where's the best place to hold said summit?

I believe there is least one in Calgary, and hopefully mine (88 RD03) will be getting shipped home in June or July... that's if I get a reasonable shipping price... my first quote is equal to 2/3 the price of a new KLR...

We would need to plan it with time.... I know of a guy close to San Francisco who has one as well as a friend in AZ.

Does that aluminum plate require drilling to the bike for mounting? Definitely try to post pics when you finish, if you can. M

Hey .....
Shoot a pic of the gauge covers, I'm curious.
I'm in for CO, Hi Jim ...... But I agree, there needs to be a little advanced planning and time.
I'm free later part of July and at this moment all of August for doing up a several day trip. I've only got one thing going on at the moment in Sept out my way in the eastern part of the state.
I'll be interested to see if this can take shape this season.

Other than that everyone .... in about 4 hours from right now, I head out to get my RD03! I wish I was the one that owned the trailer ....... I've been up since 5:45am.

Hey Jim .....

I agree that having a welder local would be better, just for being right there and all, but I got to thinking .....

Would you be so kind as to snap a few pics of your mounting hardware with the Gobi's off? I'd like something with some detail, per se, to show my friend when I get to doing this ....... Oh, and like whenever you have time.

The first order of business for me once I get the bike is to perform a bunch of maintenance on it .....

Then I'll get onto the farkles ......

Mucho thanks !!!

G.
