Thanks for the help on importing an AT. My DMV is VERY "relaxed", it is located on a dirt road in the FLint Hills of Kansas! I found a bike in the U.K., but the guy does not want to ship abroad. If I knew someone over there that I could trust to pick the bike up and take it to a shop and have it tore down and shipped, we are in business. Anyone out there in the U.K that would be willing to help?

Go Jonah !!
I understand the RallyPanAm guys with Jonah Street riding will be in attendance.
Here's hoping the French don't do their "Surrender Thing" again |

Speaking of RallyPanAm, maybe you can contact them for one of their contacts in the UK. And maybe the parts can find their way into one of the containers after the Central Euro Rally heading back to the US. Just a thought.

So I could just get a clear coat put on all of it, but if I'm going to go to the extent of bringing the plastics and tank to a painter, I think I'm gonna do more than just a clear coat ..... I've been envisioning a custom paint job that I've concocked in my brain, ever since seeing a 94 900ie Elefant that had this bomb ass paint job on it. NAM AT meeting ..... I think I'm free for Aug 1-3, but I will check my schedule tonight ..... G.

RIDES RED
|
All this talk of twins
Drinking red koolaid will make people do weird things.
I just don't get you guys buying over the hill bikes with out dated techology. Why don't you just spend your money on a Vstrom or BMW. Just so you know this is the type of stuff you will here after you buy a Africa twin. Just say "it's a twin thing" that they won't ever understand. Welcome brothers to the fold! |

Selling for Africa Twin
I need cash to race and change my forks because my driver is a bad guy breaking each kind of forks.
So, Marzocchi Shiver 45mm just fit with plates as in photo ready for Africa Twin or Transalp. I'm very happy with this fork but it is not good for the extreme way it is used now. ![]() ![]() I can sell also the front wheel with brake disk and Brembo Oro Without wheel and brakes 700 euri. With 900 euri. ![]() ![]() ![]() Or this: Paioli Kayaba 46mm nuovo con piastre, pinza freno ruota ecc, anche quello pronto per montare su AT o Transalp e chiedo 750 euro per forcella piastre e altre 200 per ruota pinza e freno: Uguale a questo: ![]() Then I,ve a lot of spare parts, you can contact me. Basically we want race and win the Italian Cross Country and Motorally (ours category) with the old queen kicking off the Super enduro and new (fantastic) Gs800. Ciao my friends!!! GP,
I am interested in a pair of the aluminum radiator shrouds and possible a rear fender. Are you selling these items? Santa |

Seeing Paolo's pictures made me realise how much of a pig my bike has become. Then at this point, my AT is at its heaviest state set up for touring. I'm reversing the trend to see how svelt it can be.
Jim. ps: Only 3 people spoke up with interest of a NA AT Summit. Anyone else? |
