Okay, I have 50 on order. They may ship out by the end of this week. I chose the first sticker because it had the least possibility of copyright infringement if any.
Thanks to Greg for posting his winnings from eBay. Jim. |

WOW !!
The only way I'd do that on my Transalp would be on accident. And then, at the point where the photo was taken, I'd be thinking that religion was maybe not such a bad thing after all...... Great Photo. On another topic, Greg, I saw a previous post where you mentioned that you have the part numbers for the ATs. Well....I'm getting serious about trying to find a RD04 tank, sidepanels, front fairing, headlights, and the front bracket that holds it all together....in effect putting a AT front end on my Transalp. The main reason (I keep telling myself) is a larger tank, but I'm just in lust with the AT looks. Anyways....if your have some time on your hands and want to post those numbers it would probably help my search with parts breakers in the UK and other places since I can't get the parts in the good old USofA. Looks like summer is in full swing in OZ. Makes me want to emigrate. Ray Stedronsky Davis, CA |

Here is a pic of my new to me 1995 honda africa twin, got a good deal, and it even comes with a one year warranty from Honda. :) It's not as high tech as the new bikes out there, but its good enough.
And I will be in Lisbon riding it along with all the paris dakar nutz.

Ray,
what colour scheme do you want the No's for, the RD04 had several different colours. I think if you are buying from wreckers you probably wont need the part no's you'll just need to say "I need X,Y,Z for an RD04 AT" Ive got some carbs and stuff from wreckers in the UK and they just want to know bike and model. If you want to try new parts then the part No's come in handy. Jeff@the quad shop did the same thing, check out where he got his bits from, and doesn't Modrover have a spare AT tank for sale ?? In many ways... a Transalp with an Africa Twin tank is a great thing.

More questions
Howdy Folks, Have a few comments and questions... atgreg... your buddy is friggin nuts... wish I had the balls to try that on my AT, but at 220kg... everyone... this is a great thread, thanks for posting all this info, without you guys I'd be lost. modrover and Jeff@TheQuadShop... how are the headlight conversions holding up? My headlight assembly is a mess (kinda botched mod by a previous owner). I was overriding my lights at about 80km/hm, and unable to adjust further. Hopefully a modification I've made will give me a decent angle. My big question is about converting to H4s. Did you have to change any of the electrical to allow for the 55w bulb? Jeff, you have 80s? Same question, and what about the heat? Thanks

Nice bike man! My RD03 had the odd single H4 bulb. I scored a twin setup made for H3 bulbs and inserted the guts from two other H4 lens I had around. Works great and no problems. Now, because my bike had been wired for the single H4 bulb... that just got pluged into one of the bulbs. The other bulb runs off it's own harness and switch(s). I'm not sure on the wiring of the twin lamp H3 (33watt). I'd like to say the harness could handle the jump from 33watts to 55watts, but I'm not sure. If it was my bike I might just run thicker wires from the battery up to some relays (that then go to the bulbs) that activate off the stock switches. Then you could use whatever bulbs you wanted. One thing I do is that the lens can take the heat of 55/60W no problem.
