tripmaster

nice colors Fabien, comment est le siege? confortable? c'est un corbin?

Question to the AT team.

My tripmaster is going bad. Got some litterature ( in german) but i could translate some.
I am here in the USA and trying to buy the corresponding capacitors to replace them all.
Here is what specs are: SMD ELKO 10/16 ( that is 10uF and 16Volts)
SMD ELKO 10/35
SMD 10/50
RAD 105 220/63
250uF 35V
I suppose that ELKO is either japanese or german but i can't find the brand here so I need to Xref !

As I am not an electronic engeneer, I want to make sure I get the right parts ( tripmaster =500 euros !). I'm on Mouser.com trying to find these parts. they are temperature rated (beside the RAD 105) I don't see temp rating, so question : what temp is enough (85degrees, more??). See I am not sure how forgiving it is to not have the exact same unit!?

anyway, just wondering if any of you already fixed your trip master, where did you get your components ( in the usa)and do you still have the specs.?
otherwise, I'll take mine apart and measure caps sizes for all ....etc...

if you did, that would save me time

Salut Jim,

I saw the site, browsed it briefly when, huh... at work and thought that i would check it from home.
i called mouser.com, ...they were eager to close for the day ...won't blame'em! they said, "look through the catalog..."

Hi Alain!

According to the repair document that I sent (per prior pm) you:
C9: 16V with 10 Microfarad
C4: 50V with 10 Microfarad
C8: 50V with 10 Microfarad
Sorry, I thought you Belgians are fairly enough versed in German.

I sure don't have the required iron nerves for this soldering job. But then again, I'm no iron man either.

Hope it works out great,

Andreas

Oh, also the manual also say's to watch for correct installation with regards to +/- poles or you might loose your trippmaster.

Cool2 Attn: All West / SouthWest AT Riders .... Plus, the rest of you crazy people ....

Yes, I know it's October of 2009, but it's best to start planning early, so peeps can schedule accordingly.

It has come to my attention that at present there are 4, count em, 4 AT owners in Oregon. Myself, E-Bum, Alainmax, and Stephen.

There's also Ladder106, A-Wind, Mario, and CaliforniaXRV in California.

AT-Dirt is in Arizona ......

What do you all think about a 2010 West Coast AT Summit ???

Our honorable Jim Rowley hosted the 2008 North American AT Summit, and I think it's time for another one.

But this time I'm thinking over here on the West Coast. Be it California or Oregon.

I would do up a poll "post" to see who's interested, but I don't think I can within a thread .....

CA offers Death Valley, and other scrumptious roads, routes, etc.
OR offers the ODBR (Oregon Discovery Back Route) and oodles of roads / routes, in Eastern OR.

Weather wise - in CA it could be early, like March or April. In OR - specially on the east side, it would have to be like, around June ....

Of course all are welcomed ..... would any of you crazy bastards be up for this?

If so, and if it seems like this could / would, all congeal together, we could start making some definitive plans over the next few months.

If it's in OR - I have no objection to being the host and route planner. If it's in CA - someone else would most likely be better suited.

I've thrown my idea out into the wind ...... it's up to the rest of you now.

G.

Or we could meet next Labor Day at Burning Man. It's a party with 45,000 of your closest friends.

How about Moab, UT? We could crash the annual KLR party.

Jim.

Moab sounds interesting. I will keep it in mind, but don't want to fully commit as I don't know how crazy work will be... God knows I've been itching for a road trip through Utah.

Steve, if nothing else, we need to do a local ride again. Hope it's not all work in Moab for you right now. Mario

While it's a bit early for me to totally commit, I'm IN in concept.

My vote goes to eastern Oregon. There's lots of riding up there I haven't done and we might be able to invite a certain Dakar racer (Jonah Street) who lives up in Ellensburg out for dinner and a beer. Maybe even a ride-along if we get lucky.

The other factor is weather and if we start to bake in the heat we can always retreat to the coast. A bit harder to escape from Utah.

I have to bid for my vacation days in January so I may have a schedule clash but will try to work it out.

It would be great to get the At's together. Let me know a time and place and I will try to work my schedule around it. Utah, CA, Nevada, ETC they all sound good to me. I just ordered a Vario-Touring shield for my AT. I should get it mid November. From my buddies that have used this screen it is supposed to be great. I will let you all know how it works out.
