Did't know where to post this so i figured the best place would be where the owners of this bike talk about their beauties.
Im planning to do trip next summer but i can't really decide on motorcycle. Im really attracted to the Africa twin because it proven itself and the looks but one thing i cant figure out is the fuel economy. One says 1:15 (1 liter for 15km) others say 1:20. If i would go for the AT it would prob be a '93-95 model. Anyone can give me a indication what the fuel consumption would be with regular highway cruising at 70-80mph and 40-50mph on B roads and gravel. |

RD07 1998 with 130,000 Km on it.
My best fuel/Km ratio is 1:21-on highway on 100 KPH. My worse is 1:15 on twisty roads on high revs. Avrage is 1:17 on highway at 120-130 KPH. Offroad i get about the same.(1:17) abat screwed with this post 11-12-2009 at 12:14 PM |

ATGreg, congratulations! Looks like you even made a service port on the headers. So you have equipment to measure lamba? Awesome job, only those pictures are way too big for me. Can you post more smaller ones?
