Hi to all of you.
I finally caught up with the head of this enormous thread. It's been good reading and a lot of nice pictures, clips and good links. My only regret is that I'm now down to the pace of the normal growth of this thread :-/
Anyway 11/11/11 a great date to introduce myself. I ride a black/silver RD07 1994 which I've had since 2003. Time flies B-) Living in the kingdom of Sweden the riding season is somewhat reduced. At least for me who doesn't drive on stud tires.
I throw in a little pic from my 5th in a row summer ride to Norway. This is from the mountain Blåhö.

My ex-boss rode one of those in the `91 Dakar, possibly even that very bike! What did the little info display stand say on it?

The bike shown at this years EICMA show is the one ridden by Roberto Boano.

Is your ex-boss Jon Watson-Miller (Bracken Motorcycles)? who rode another Twin (#58) in the same year.

I guess I'm getting old but the old Dakar racers are, to my eyes, the best looking bikes in the entire show. (The new OSSA is nice too but that's about all) The "new" bikes kinda make me say.....meh

If I were there and could get away with it, I'd get a bunch of Rugby players together, pick up all the company reps and dump them (with great ceremony) into the sand in the Dakar display......then strongly....uhmmmm....suggest.......

My brother has his registered in North Carolina (it was first registered in California).

If this is in regards to the rd04 you are selling let the inmate know that it might be easier to register the bike in california via the woman who helped me register two africa twins here....and then transfer it to a south carolina title.
