How about swingarm chain sliders.

My bike is a Transalp hybrid and there are quite a few TA owners here who have re-fitted RD03 or RD04 swingarms.

Chain slider/arm protectors can only be sourced overseas.

I'd be interested in at least 1.

Inspire me. In preparation for bringing my 1997 RD07A to Canada I've had the side fairing and tank repainted to fix dings and scratches. They're now back to the original black, minus the silver/bronze "explosion" decals.

This is the bike with stock colours:

So now I have a clean slate to work with, and the original decals are brutally expensive from Honda. My first thought is to get the sticker kit to make a replica of the Rothmans Paris Dakar, which would look like a lower-budget version of GPMucci's RD04. There's an Italian vendor who sells the whole sticker kit at a good price. It would leave the bike looking something like this, but minus the custom seat and long range tanks.

I'm also looking for suggestions for a new exhaust, something lighter and sexier with a lower profile than the original smokestack that's on the thing now.

I am all

I love the idea of cigarette sponsor decals on a dirty sexy bike. I can't wait to offend some Vancouver Liberals.

Leovince exhaust

I bought mine from leovince USA. Not much louder than stock, but weighs a whole lot less. I did ask them why they had @ exhaust in the US and they told mea new guy was ordering systems and didn't know what he was buying. Currently listed at $389.00 US for slip on muffler. Comes with a race baffle if your so inclined to make some noise.

Dominic, Good luck with your travels.

2013 NAATS Roll Call

I'm a little reluctant to start a thread just for the NAATS so I'll keep it here. Can I get a roll call on attendees, yes, maybe or no? I have room for several people and plenty of camping space (poison ivy free) available. There are several hotels nearby too. My accomodations are subject to change as a new property may be in the cards.

So who's coming and who's on the fence? The dates are 24-28 July, 2013. Let me know.

Jim I'll have to catch it another year, we'll be moving canuck-side at that time. I have no idea if the bike will even be there by then.
