Liked! Looking forward to your updates. Looks like you've got it all planned out as far as route/timeline. You guys on a tight schedule or is that likely to change?

Bonne route!

Hi,
What windscreen is that, looks like what I'm looking for....
The brand is MDI, which i think is German. Edit: no it's dutch, http://www.mdi-online.nl/webshop/art...3-56db7b46f940
But the model it's called Flip-up, due to the folded upper edge.

Wicked plug.

So i wanted to adjust my valve clearance, and needed to get the small plug out of my engine case.

The thing looks easy to remove, but isn't.
i started with a allen wrench, which only damaged the plug. tried tapping the b*tch out.

so after a while i removed the entire case and drilled a 10mm hole and used a large easy-out, and a propane torch to get it out.

now i need 2 new gaskets a seal and a new plug, and still no valves adjusted.

Well, not much of a ride picture...

I've always love the look of my previous RD07.

So went to the scraps today...and found a complete set of the same design and colour of the RD07.

So now since I've sold off the 36ltr tank and awaits my 48ltr tank...
Here's the bike at its current clothing...

The problem is....I would need to get the blue rims to black...and a taller screen for RD07.

Good day fellow Africans!

Guess what, it was the fucking facet pump...

Even dead, it still had enough flow to keep one cylinder going... I have bypassed it for now and the bike runs OK (it's dying on idle sometimes). That one was bought January 2011, the new one is on it's way... My guess is that the r/r on it's way out the previous month managed to fuck up the pump somehow, but the thing worked for another 3 weeks before kicking the bucket....

I was about to loose my mind over this, I hope the worst is over, I will post updates as soon as everything is back together and the bike running.

Glad you sorted it out! I had one facet I installed on a friend's RD07 dying for the exact same reason. Only difference was, his R/R instantly fried everything on its way up to the headlight bulbs... luckily for him, the CDI was spared from the R/R's fury...

I guess I was luckier, the power spike your friend's bike experienced must have been over the top to go through the fuses and all other protection features on the bike...

Does anyone have a photo of where the carb drain screw is? I want to empty them since I run the bike without fuel filter and I know I have some rust in my tank...
