Hi TEriksen,

Nice bike, mine is a 2000 with the same color.
Could you tell me where you got those mirrors?
Mine are looking quite crappy now, well 13 years show.

Keep on riding, Chris

Thanks Chris, I got the mirrows at Touratech, at a reasonable price actually as far as I remember They are foldable and stays in position, just flip in / flip out.

Yo Twiniver, believe you tought me some tricks last summer on how to make the exhaust shine like a star. Yours look great too

And for KleineDK, I am located in the "Town on the heath".

Stay cool out there! / Thomas

There is an inmate (hb7) here on ADV, who is selling these mirrors for the lowest price. He sells on eBay too. I got the round ones from him. Mirrors are almost as calm as the original, even on the freeway. If at all, vibration might be an issue only at low RPMs. They are simply awesome.

This is bh7's post about his mirrors:
http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=357336
Check for some more recent posts, as he added the oval's too.

When I bought mine, I could not find a lower price. The units he sells seem generic, but quality is excellent, not only that, to my best knowledge, there is no difference to KTM's FOLDING-TYPE mirrors = it is the same mirror as KTM as far as I'm concerned.

Go for it, you might be missing out if you don't.

As far as the LED rear light goes...

Meanwhile, I did some search myself. But now I can't even find those suppliers any more, who used to offer the LED insert-pannels. They now only exist in my archives , in form of these following screenshots.

Seem to have been the original supplier, but no trace of them today:

Nippy Norman used to sell the AT-GKL LED's:

Price was not even so bad, should have bought it .

I guess the next step is to look for some good LED lightbulbs for the rear light.

Might make something like this work, if you can get past it being sold as a KLR part.

Golly,

He's lost a LOT of weight since I've seen him last.

The jacket no longer fits too well.

New to the Forum

I've been a lurker here for a few month now and thought it about time I post. I'm the proud owner of a RD07 and live in Kampala, Uganda. It's the perfect bike for weekend getaways to the game parks or trips around Lake Victoria and Rwanda. I love my Africa Twin!
