Africa Twin suspension & fork riser kits

Hi guys, I am having a further small batch of fork slugs and rear risers made. I will have 4 sets available in the next couple of weeks. Please mail me if interested, first come first served, can ship worldwide if required.

They will raise your AT suspension by 40mm at the at and up to 60mm at the front. These come prepped for a air release valve to release unwanted air pressure built up in the forks.

I telephoned them a couple weeks ago about fitment to an XRV750 (RD04) and learned of the following space requirements. Initially, there appears to be sufficient space. However, I want to physically take my AT to their shop to confirm. I'll provide an update within 4-6 weeks. David

Space required between the neck of the steering head and the fuel tank: 0.5 inches
Space along the 0.5" run should be 1 inch.

Purchased this from inmate vuugti. I put 0.3 miles and one wheelie on it in six weeks.



Title transfer and insurance was easy, as it was previously registered in Pennsylvania.
Did a little 450 mile trip to the Allegheny National Forest to ride some forest service roads.
Just a comfortable and enjoyable bike.

Just back from Canada's Northwest Territories.

I just put on 4000 k kms round trip to Fort Smith NWT. Weather was hot and sunny compared to S. Alberta this time of year. North of 60 in June is hard to beat...however the mosquito's can get thick.
I've seen enough of Canada's boreal forest to last me awhile. For the most part the Alberta portion was flat and straight but once into the NWT it got interesting. Wood Buffalo National Park adjacent to Fort Smith was also checked out however their was a forest fire in the park so many of the roads were closed.
I did find a few dirt tracks down to the Slave River which has a series of 4 major rapids in a 20 km stretch up to class 5. Ok...a few pics.

Karoo 3's, funny you should ask... as far as handling on the tarmac they performed well. I got into some deep sand/powder and they seemed to pull though good. I'm not impressed though with the appreciable wear on the rear tire in just under 4000 k kms. Front tire wear is negligable.

What are your plans for the skid plate, as my NX650 project is to begin soon. I want a bare aluminum satin finish (not painted).
Is there a chemical available to etch in a satin finish after smoothing the surface without the expense of clear anodizing?
