Good!

DerGraf , can you mark the date when something is going on?

26.09.2009 After a bit, we reached San Sebastian.
Wow! The first goal of our trip has been reached.
That make sense for readers.
Thank you.

Thanks!

Thank you, guys, for your nice comments.
@ILYA77, I don't want to make my RR look like a scientific text. I will add all necessary facts at the end.
If you need the date, our trip began at the 22nd of August 2009 and I'll keep updating daily.

Eight

Our dreams came true: We were finally in the Pyrenees on the Spanish side.
Everything dried up, not a trace of rain and it became increasingly hotter.
We took the small back roads where the traffic was not as heavy as elsewhere.
Also, we finally met some other motorcyclists.

As we were riding during rain the day before, our shoes were still wet. Here is our ultimate dryer- works very quickly in the heat.

Me in the Pyrenees.

The traces of civilization ...

We rode through the small village of Jaca. Actually quite nice,
but we couldn't find any place where we could stop and take pictures. Just about when the village ended, there finally was a spot we could use.
There were some strange looking buildings nearby... A Jail, we found out.
I took a picture of the house opposite, but not of the jail itself- the guards looked pretty angry.

Along the road we have seen a lot of people traveling with backpacks and hats,
mostly elder people. When we asked what they were doing there, they told us that they are pilgrims on the road to Santiago.
Oh dear, on a motorcycle, it's better :-)
Using "N"-roads ("national roads"), we quickly found out that "C" or "D" roads were much better.
One is much faster on a "N"-road, but there's a lot less to see.

We were in the very nice town of Oloron-Sainte-Marie, with very beautifully painted houses.

We found a nice campsite on French side of Pyrenees and had tasty dinner.
It was great day, we could sleep well that night as there was a small river nearby, making beautiful sounds.

Brilliant pics and trip mate, looks like you guys are having a great time :)

I wanted to ask you about your pics, are they enhanced in any way, or do you get these really rich, beautiful colors without editing them? If so, what camera are you using ? :)
Starting to get more and more interested in photography and your pics are stunning, they almost look like HDR at times.

thanks for sharing!

That is how my first accident happened. I was driving a pickup. 16 years old. I was cruising the strip in Reno and was staring at this absolute hottie. I tapped the car in front of me, at about 5 mph. The guy got out and was about to kick my ass. When he saw the woman I was staring at, he gave me high five, said everything was cool and drove off."

Nice RR, but too much pictures of your son and too less of yourself! :-)
Maybe you have sometime the chance to make a shot of your son driving by?
