I know that has to be frustrating with a new bike. Seems like they would have special treatment for the ones that have already paid their bills.

That is what I said when I had the water pump seal trouble at 1200 miles...
Their philosophy is that once a bike is on a stand, even if waiting on parts, it stays right there, blocking the line. If all stands are full, and all of the bikes are waiting on parts, NOTHING happens. Everyone sits around and twiddles their thumbs, because they are afraid they will mix up parts or something else.

One of the boat shops I have used was this way, until I changed them. They had a certain number of stalls, and if the boats were waiting on parts, nothing would progress. After I raised a stink with the owner, they opened an express lane just for minor stuff like oil changes. Now if the main bays are full of major problems, they reserve a space for the minor stuff, that way they are STILL MAKING MONEY while waiting on parts for the major jobs...
