Clear as Madison County mud.
Alright, that was a pretty crappy clue. I'm talking about a centuries old road running through Mississippi and Madison County.
Also, another tag has already been placed at the opposite end of this area.
You might want to take a gps to map it, I doubt there's an address.
Is that better?

I was really wanting to get out and ride some more today, but since my brain can't seem to figure this one out. Guess that means I'll just ride to a bar instead...

I now have a better idea but have not nailed it down completely. This is a fun one.

Clues

The sketchy clues got me to the road, but I haven't found the tag.

Present=Canton
First=The MAN
Past=The historic OLD road.

Present, first, and past all refer to one road.

You know, I have ridden close to there several times but never turned up that particular road. Good spot!

Is that the place with the trailers and houses by the water? If so, I road up in there once and a guy asked me if I was lost. Told him I was just out riding and he offered me a beer. Looked like he was the only one out there.

That's the place. Actually a couple of trucks in and out of there while I was taking the picture, but not one offer of a beer.

New Tag and in keeping with the previous theme... a rhyme

This is a testament to a fallen servant who heard the war drums rattle,
Though he could have stayed at home, he followed me to battle.
I came home and he did not, so I erected a monument at this spot.

Sorry for the poor picture, it was dark.
