If I could figure out which RR crossing the other tag is at I might could swing by in my Ural...

Well you helped put Nessie in the GROCERY STORE parking lot and your worried about populated... lol

My 2 cents on the mascot. I agree with Peaches.
Sometimes a stop to take a photo, attracts attention. Which is usually breif, and your gone. But, think about the recent placement in downtown Jackson. If there was a mascot to hide or retreive, that would bring even more attention. And could be unsafe?
The mascot works great for the MS tag.

Yeah, the last few tags wouldn't have been placed with a mascot. I like not having one for the local game, seems to keep it moving at a quicker pace. I guess it does put those without a way to post from their phones at a disadvantage though.

My biggest frustration is finding somewhere to hide mascots at some of these locations. For the local tag, it's supposed to be a quick commuter type game. There are too few places to hide a mascot in urban areas. I knew people would complain about the grocery tag, but they would complain if I could not place it for a few days, too. Guess I either should not have picked it up or something. Anyway, my vote is for no mascot in the local game... YMMV.

Yeah, I've placed an easy one too on the state game when I realized it would be almost a week before I could do a better one. I figured it was better to keep the game going.

Since ya'll didn't like the angle, lighting, and composition of my first tag grab I figured I would go back down and try again...

I barely got off the bike for this one. There was a lot of really shady foot traffic walking right by me.

Since when did Nancy Pelosi join this thread..?

edit: BWT Peaches, you're a brave man my son. I know what it feels like walking down there when I'm on an assignment with several thousand dollars of camera equipment on my shoulder, sometimes after dark!

I may be wrong, but I figure that on the DRZ, "they" wouldn't be able to catch or shoot me as long as I am aware of my surroundings. but then again who am I to judge...

Nice grab. Too bad you didn't get a burger while you were there. They've got a couple of other locations that are in slightly less shady areas, I just like this one because it's the original.
